"Suzie Too" Beach BBQ

Strangely in this cruising community we don't actually know many peoples last names. People become associated with there boat and are generally referred to by there boat name. For example, Bill from "Kalunamoo" is known as "Kalunamoo Bill". With that in mind we were not surprised to be invited to a "Suzie Too" BBQ. "Suzie Too" is a Beneteau 57 and her owners David and Suzie who have been cruising for 10 plus years have made a tradition of taking their BBQ ashore to a nearby beach every Sunday. They knock on every hull in the anchorage and invite people to join them on the beach, BYO everything. This was our second such event at Pigeon beach, Falmouth Harbour, Antigua. Thank you "Suzie Too" for such a special day. It's always good to take the day off on a Sunday and just chill and relax with friends and family. Thanks to Ronna and Mike from "Exodus" for the floating bar for our drinks.

Harry Honda is our trusty electric start 9.9 hp, 4 stroke outboard motor. We bought Harry in Newport, Rhode Island shortly after we bought Perigee (October '16) and while we were not looking for a 4 stroke electric start motor, Harry had been abandoned by his previous owner after just 20 hours of use and was available at the right price. We found a piece of paradise

Perigee in Paradise.  Two years, eight months and one day after moving onboard Perigee we found paradise! We moved onboard on February 16, 2017 in Le Marin, Martinique one of the Caribbean Islands and found our paradise on October 17, 2019 in the Raroia lagoon, one of the Tuomotu Islands of French Polynesia. We put 12, 548 nautical miles under the keel in that time and spent many hours preparing Perigee for this kind of remote area cruising. Raroia Atoll (Rah-row ee ah). We're the red arrow top right. The entrance is in the middle of the west side. Raroia is remote, being as it is pretty much in the middle of the Pacific Oceans. Altogether we sailed 33 days to get there from Panama. 30 days to Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas and another 3 days to Raroia in the Tuomotus.
