OCC Suzie Too Rally
Perigee has signed up for the OCC Suzy Too Rally to the Dutch West Indies starting in Curacao in November 2018 and ending in Belize in May 2019. Places and dates can be seen below. Dates are naturally weather dependent but are good for planning purposes. Berths maybe available for close friends and family. Please contact us if you are interested in joining us or are likely to be in the same place at the same time. We will be in the historic walled town of Cartagena for Christmas and New Year and are looking forward to the Latin cultural experience.

Most of the sailing is day sailing though there are several overnight sails in the second half of the rally (see arrival and departure dates below). We generally try to stay on anchor, however there are two stops where we must be in a Marina. We will be in Santa Marta Marina, Columbia for 10 days and in Shelter Bay Marina, Panama for 14 days. We will also probably elect to go into the Marina in Belize for a few days as Suzie has organised a two day excursion of Belize. For land lovers, visiting us while we are in a Marina may be a better option.
We plan to arrive in Curacao at least two weeks prior to the rally we will try to spend a few weeks in Bonaire prior to that (October 2018). Bonaire has a reputation for the best diving in the Caribbean, so is not to is not to be missed.

Suzy Too is a 57 foot English registered centre cockpit sloop (Farr B57) belonging to Suzie and David Chappell. This is their 3rd time to the Dutch West Indies and their 2nd rally. Their first rally was such a success that numbers for the 2nd rally have meant that the boats have been split into 2 groups. We are in group 1 which departs Curacao two weeks before group 2. There are 42 boats in group 1 and we will travel in company with them most of the time. However, there will be a cross over with group 2 in the San Blas Islands. Suzie is a fabulous organiser and will organise other fabulous events along the way such as beach bbq's & dinghy raft ups as well as other excursions ashore.
